Biography

Relicon was founded in 1998 by Antti-Pekka Meronen as his solo project. At that point he wrote all the music and played all the instruments by himself. After years of intense practice and devotion in songwriting, he released two proper demos in 2002 and 2003 respectively.

In 2005 the band expanded into a 5-piece band and released it's third demo. Somewhere along the line a keyboardist also joined and the band performed live couple of times. As a 6-piece band they released a fourth demo in 2008. Not long after the release, the band broke up and went their separate ways. There was another attempt to assemble a band later on, but it was doomed to fail from the start.

After all this, Antti-Pekka started to release songs solely for the internet. There were some other artists performing on these recordings, but the songs were mainly done by Antti-Pekka himself.

Between 2012 and 2017 was a hiatus for the band. There were multiple recordings done but nothing was actually released.

In 2024 the band signed up to WormHoleDeath label and released an EP titled "Consequences Of Disbelief".
